Siser® EasyWeed® Extra is the film to reach for when the substrate is nylon — jackets, backpacks, duffel bags, umbrellas, laptop sleeves. Standard HTV struggles to bond to coated nylon and peels off after a wash or two. Extra is formulated with a more aggressive adhesive that grips it.
It also handles the other difficult surfaces: Lycra® and Spandex, leather, and sublimated polyester. And it presses at just light to medium pressure, which matters on padded or structured items you can't clamp hard. CPSIA certified for children's apparel.
On coated or water-repellent nylon, always test press and wash-test before running an order — coatings vary between manufacturers and some resist any adhesive.
Always cut mirrored, and test cut before running production.
Test press on the actual item first — platen temperature often differs from the display reading, and nylon is heat sensitive.
