Total Ink Solutions General Purpose Plastisol Mixing Base, part of the PF-GP Series, is a phthalate-free, ready-to-use ink designed for professional screen printers who demand superior performance and versatility. Engineered for a wide range of applications, this ink offers excellent adhesion, superb opacity, and low-bleed properties, making it ideal for printing on cotton, cotton/polyester blends, and some synthetic fabrics. With its unique low viscosity and perfect consistency, this ink delivers a durable, soft-hand finish on light and dark garments alike.
Key Features:
- Phthalate-Free & Ready to Use: Safe and compliant with environmental regulations, this ink is pre-mixed and ready for application straight from the container, saving you time and ensuring consistent results.
- Suitable for Heat-Sensitive Fabrics: Optimized for use on heat-sensitive fabrics, offering versatility across various substrates.
- Superior Adhesion: Provides excellent adhesion, making it perfect for printing on nylon fabrics and bleed-prone textile substrates.
- Low Bleed Property: Engineered to resist dye migration, ensuring clean and crisp prints on dark-colored backgrounds.
- Superb Opacity: Offers high-opacity coverage, making it ideal for printing on dark-colored fabrics.
Stock and End-Use:
- Ideal Fabrics: Suitable for use on cotton, 50/50 cotton/polyester blends, and some synthetics. The inkโs low bleed property is especially effective on bleed-prone textile substrates.
Pre-Test Recommendation:
Note: It is strongly recommended to pre-test the ink on your actual substrate before any full production run to ensure proper adhesion, wash fastness, and other desired effects.
Finish:
- Durable, Soft-Hand Finish: The PF-GP Series ink provides a durable, soft-hand finish that enhances the visual and tactile quality of printed textiles, especially on white and light-colored garments.
Screen Fabric Compatibility:
- Mesh Counts: Suitable for mesh counts up to 355 mono-filament polyester (142T European Mesh) for detailed and consistent printing.
Stencil Recommendations:
- Recommended Stencils: Use dual-sensitized direct method photo emulsion or SBQ pre-sensitized photo emulsion, or an equivalent, for optimal results.
Curing Instructions:
- Heat-Cure: Cure at approximately 320ยฐF (160ยฐC) for 1 to 3 minutes to achieve the best durability and finish. Note that this ink will not air-dry.
Modifications:
- Viscosity Adjustment: To reduce ink viscosity, add RE703 or RE704 at 5% or less by weight of ink. Reducer should be used sparingly and only when necessary. For adjustments where color shade is not crucial, RE705 can be added up to 10-20% by weight of ink.
Squeegee Recommendations:
- Recommended Squeegee: For textile printing, use a medium to hard squeegee (65-85 durometer) to achieve the best results with this ink.
Storage Instructions:
- Temperature Sensitivity: Plastisol inks respond to heat. Store at cool room temperatures below 90ยฐF (32ยฐC) to maintain product quality. Avoid exposure to elevated temperatures before use.
