Product Details:
The High Opaque Plastisol Ink/PF-HO Series is specifically popular for its consistent, high-opaque print results on both dark and light-colored textiles. This ink can be used straight from the container or extended up to 50% for light color applications. For dark fabric printing, where bleed resistance is a concern, using a bleed-resistant under base is recommended.
Important Note:
This series does not contain bleed inhibitors. Pre-testing on the actual substrate is strongly recommended before any full production run to check for dye bleeding, adhesion, wash fastness, and other desired effects.
Finish:
- Durable, Soft-Hand Finish: Ensures your printed garments feel comfortable while maintaining durability and vibrant color.
Color Options:
- Low-Bleed Opaque Colors: All colors are formulated using non-leaded pigments. Custom colors are available upon request.
Screen Fabric Compatibility:
- Mesh Counts: Suitable for mesh counts up to 355 mono-filament polyester (142T European Mesh).
Stencil Recommendations:
- Recommended Stencils: Use dual-sensitized direct method photo emulsion or SBQ pre-sensitized photo emulsion, or an equivalent, for optimal results.
Curing Instructions:
- Heat-Cure: Cure at approximately 320°F (160°C) for 2 to 3 minutes to achieve the best durability and finish. Note that this ink will not air-dry.
Modifications:
- Viscosity Adjustment: To reduce ink viscosity, add RE-703 or RE-704 at 5% or less by weight of ink. Use RE-705 up to 10-20% by weight if color shade or opacity is not crucial.
Squeegee Recommendations:
- Recommended Squeegee: For textile printing, use a medium-hard squeegee (65-75 durometer) to achieve the best results with this ink.
Storage Information:
- Temperature Sensitivity: Plastisols respond to heat. Always store at cool room temperatures below 90°F (32°C). Avoid exposure to elevated temperatures before use.
