Roland
The cutter protection strip is the wear surface your blade cuts against. It's a consumable, and it's the part most often blamed on the blade — when cuts go jagged or inconsistent, a grooved strip is usually the cause, not a dull knife.
Repeated cutting pressure carves grooves into the strip. Once that happens the blade sits at inconsistent depth along the cut path, giving you ragged edges, incomplete cuts, and material damage. Replacing the strip restores accurate cutting and extends blade life.

Check your machine before ordering. These strips are not interchangeable between series — the part number on your current strip is the reliable way to confirm which one you need.
Straightforward to replace — lift the old strip out of its channel and seat the new one flat along its full length. Any lift or bubble under the strip will show up immediately as inconsistent cut depth. Clean the channel of adhesive residue and debris before fitting the new strip.
