SEF America FlexCut Maxx Metallic is a 100% polyurethane heat transfer vinyl with a true metallic finish. It cuts clean, weeds fast, and holds fine detail — which is what you want when a metallic design has thin strokes or small text.

Application

When layering, drop the first layers to 3–4 seconds and only press the final layer for the full time. Flock can be layered on top of flex; flex on top of flock is not recommended.

Make sure the garment is heat-resistant and free of stain-repellent finishes — repellent coatings stop the adhesive bonding and the print will lift in the first wash.

Cutting & weeding

• Use a 45° blade for best precision.
• Blade offset depends far more on knife quality than on the material — a worn blade is the usual cause of poor cuts, not the vinyl.
• Keep blades sharp and clean for intricate work.
