Shimmer Plastisol Ink – 6 Colors – Pearlescent Shimmer Effect

Shimmer Plastisol Ink is a colored ink with pearlescent particle infused through it. It is not a metallic and it is not a glitter — it's a soft, satin sheen that catches the light as the garment moves, then reads as a normal color when it doesn't.

Which effect do you actually want?

These four get confused constantly. The difference is particle size:

Effect	What it looks like
Shimmer ← you are here	Subtle satin sheen. Colored ink with a pearl glow. Reads as a color first, effect second.
Metallic	Mirror flake. Looks like actual metal. Gold, silver, copper.
Glitter	Visible sparkle. Individual glitter particles you can see and feel.
Crystalline Glitter	Fine crystalline sparkle. Between shimmer and glitter.

If a customer asks for "metallic" and means "shiny but not chunky" — they usually want Shimmer.

The colors

Black · Blue · Navy · Green · Purple · Pink

Printing shimmer

• Open the mesh up. 110–160. Shimmer carries a particle — too fine and you filter the sheen out.
• Print it last. The particle needs to sit on the surface to catch light.
• Stir before every run. Pearl particle settles in a standing bucket.
• Prints best on darks. The sheen has more to play against.
• Don't over-flash. Excess heat dulls the effect.

Always test cure temperature with a donut probe or temp strip. Under-cured plastisol cracks and washes out.

Safety & handling

• Keep out of reach of children
• Avoid prolonged skin contact — wash with soap and water
• Do not eat, drink or smoke while handling
• Use with adequate ventilation, particularly at the dryer
• Do not pour unused ink back into the container
• Dispose of in accordance with local, state and federal regulations
• Refer to the Safety Data Sheet before use
