Water-Based Textile Ink (WBTX Series) sinks into the fabric instead of sitting on top of it — so a finished print feels like part of the shirt, not a patch on it. Phthalate-free, breathable and vibrant, it's the ink for retail and fashion work where hand-feel sells the garment.

Best for

How to run it

Type	Water-based textile · phthalate free
Substrate	100% cotton · cotton/poly blends
Mesh	110–230 depending on detail
Flash	250°F (121°C) for 3–5 seconds
Cure	320–350°F (160–177°C) — all moisture must evaporate before the ink is fully cured
On press	Keep it moving — water-based dries in the mesh if the press stops. Use a retarder for long runs.
Cleanup	Water and mild soap
Storage	65–90°F, sealed, out of direct sun. Do not freeze.

The cure is different from plastisol — the water has to fully evaporate before the ink cures, or the print washes out. Confirm your dryer is driving off all moisture and reaching temperature. Test wash before a production run.

Need a color we do not stock?

We are a Pantone® certified company. Our proprietary UMX (Ultimate Mixing System) matches any Pantone® color — in water-based, plastisol, solvent or UV ink. Standard turnaround 48–72 hours under D50 lighting. Free software: umxsystem.com.
