Transfer White Plastisol Ink – Quart – For Cotton, Polyester & Blends

Transfer White Plastisol Ink is a high-opacity white plastisol built for making screen-printed heat transfers for cotton, polyester and blends — printed onto transfer paper or film, then heat-pressed onto the garment. It lays down a bright, solid white base that presses clean and holds up wash after wash. CPSIA-compliant and phthalate-free, made in Hackensack, New Jersey.

Always run a test print first. Before any production run, print a sheet, semi-cure it and press a test transfer onto your exact garment, then check opacity, hand and wash-fastness. It's the best habit in the shop — if you're not sure on settings, call us at 201-487-9600 before you run the job.

What it prints on

• Transfer paper or transfer film — this ink is screen-printed onto the release sheet, not directly onto the garment.
• Once pressed, transfers apply cleanly to cotton, polyester and cotton/poly blends.
• Works as a bright white transfer or as an underbase white for pre-printed color transfers.

Printing & curing

• Mesh: 110–355 — coarser 110–160 for maximum white opacity, finer 200–355 for detail
• Squeegee: 65, 75 or 80 durometer — or a 70/90/70 triple durometer for sharp edges with easy fill
• Flash: 240–260°F between colors
• Semi-cure the sheet: gel the printed transfer at 260–280°F — this sets the ink to the touch but does not full-cure it; do not overheat the sheet
• Press to the garment: heat-press the transfer at 330°F for 15 seconds to fully bond and cure the ink to the garment — confirm temps with a temp gun or donut probe, not dryer air temp

Recommended companion products

• Nylon Bond 289 Additive — mix into this ink to bond prints to nylon and other slick synthetics (catalyst; stir in a small amount, limited pot life, always test first).
• Quick Flash Reducer — thins the ink for easier printing and finer detail without killing opacity.
• Soft Hand Base — add for a softer, lighter hand feel on the garment.
• Badass Puff Additive — mix in for a raised, high-rise puff effect.
• Pantone® Custom Color Match — send us your target Pantone® and we custom-mix the color for you (plastisol, solvent, UV & water-base).
• Cleanup: OPTI Wash 125 (odor-free screen & tool wash) and OPTI Spot 303 (spot cleaning).

Safety, PPE & storage

• Wear nitrile gloves and safety glasses; avoid prolonged skin contact with uncured ink.
• Print with adequate ventilation; curing releases vapors — vent your dryer.
• Always stir the ink before use — standard practice to re-blend any settling.
• Storage & shelf life: keep sealed and out of direct sunlight. Shelf life is 1–2 years for standard inks; low-cure and all-polyester inks must be stored at 60–80°F. In high heat expect some expansion in the container — open carefully. Do not freeze.
• Uncured ink is not hazardous waste but should be handled and disposed of per local regulations.
• Refer to the Safety Data Sheet before use.

CPSIA compliant — meets 16 CFR Part 1303 (<90 ppm lead in surface coatings) and CPSIA §101 (<100 ppm total lead); safe for use on children's apparel. Phthalate-free formulation.
